SARACIONE - Rio Products: Traditional Spey Lines
Short Head Spey
An easy casting, traditional Spey line design with a short head that is ideal for casters moving up from Skagit and Scandi type lines.
The Short Head Spey line from RIO is a very easy casting, traditional style Spey
line, which is ideal for Spey casters moving up from easier casting Scandi and Skagit
heads. The head length varies between 40 ft and 50 ft, depending on line size, and
it is a great choice of traditional Spey line for anglers using shorter rods and
when fishing in tight quarters. The longer head lengths (when compared to Skagit
and Scandi heads) allow for less stripping in time at the end of each cast, which
means more fishing time, and less loose line to handle and shoot with each cast.
Short Head Spey
The most versatile spey line on the market that's great for all river sizes.
RIO's UniSpey has a powerful mid length head that is the most versatile of spey line
designs, and that will cast long distances with ease. This UniSpey model is a floating
line with integrated running line.
Designed for long two-handed rods and big rivers.
The PowerSpey is a long belly Spey line designed for big rivers and long spey rods. The rear weight distribution and long front tapers makes it a joy to cast and allows energy to unroll effortlessly to the fly - resulting in easy distance and a powerful presentation that will cast larger flies, even while coping with tough winds. The line is built with a slick coating over a supple core that will not tangle, or require stretching in the coldest of conditions.
